Details: Shopping Arcade benefits from revamp. St. Peter’s Historic Arcade stands as a major gateway into the thriving city centre of Peterborough, serving as a walkway for the thousands of shoppers who visit the city every year. The arcade is regarded as one of the city’s greatest assets and, after standing for many years, Peterborough City Council decided that it was due a well-deserved repair and upgrade.
The arcade has benefitted from a £300,000 renovation which included a brand new floor, as well as renovations to the walls and roofing. We were in charge of the tiling project was Stortford Tiling and Marble Ltd.
The job involved removing the existing tiling, screeding the surface and laying the brand new floor, all within a strict 6 week time period. We needed to find the right product s that would allow us to complete this job on time as there was no room for compromise on the deadline date.
Having completed training with ARDEX we specified that only ARDEX products were used on the job, as well as requesting that ARDEX develop a bespoke site specification for the project.
