” Stortford Tiling & Marble Limited worked with me on this contract. The project consisted of the demolition of an existing house in Winngton Road, London, N2 and the construction of a high quality five storey (two below ground) residential property 22.00 x 19.00 x 11.50m high above ground (7.50m below ground) and having an internal swimming pool in the basement and internal garaging on two basement levels. The external walls are generally brick faced cavity walls the roof is pitched and tiled in the elevations with a central flat roof; the basements are sheet steel piled with reinforced concrete walls and columns; upper floors are generally precast concrete planks; joinery, finishing’s and services are all to a high quality specification.
Contact value of the entire project was £10,300,000.00 (final value circa £35,000,000.00) of which Stortford Tiling & Marble was responsible for all the marble and tiling works including off-site coordination of all related issues. For example dealing with marble sourcing and procurement, assisting with design and construction elements, (invaluable with Roy and his team having many years of in-house experience). I found all members of the company professional and effective but would give special mention to the onsite teams and their managers without whom the above project would have never have been as successful as it turned out. They consistently ensured works were completed on time and to a high quality.
